Lovely couple Portia De Rossi and TV host Ellen De Generes tied the knot just recently at their LA home. It was rather quaint ceremony with only the closest of family and friends in attendance. Both brides wore gorgeous Zac Posen creations with Portia opting for a cream halter with a ball gown skirt that seemed so light it almost looked like cotton candy. On the other hand, Ellen chose a cream tuxedo to match Portia's. Needless to say, both women looked amazing on their special day.

Joshua Radin serenaded the couple during their very private garden wedding. He was quoted saying that this was the first wedding he had sung in and that he probably won't be doing it again until it's his own. Of course, Tinsel town wasn't short in terms of congratulations and well wishes for the couple. 27 dresses star, Katherine Heigl who is a self-proclaimed fan of Ellen's sent her well wishes for the couple's happiness and so did Grey's Anatomy star, T.R. Knight who sent his best wishes together with his joy that same sex marriage has been legalized in California.

The couple exchanged wedding rings designed by jewelry designer to the stars, Neil Lane. Among the 19 guests were Ellen's mom Betty and Portia's mom Margaret Rogers who both acted as witnesses as the couple exchanged their handwritten vows. Ellen AND Portia have been seeing each other for 4 years before this big day and have only been waiting for California to legalize same sex marriage to actually tie the knot and after California found that the ban against gay marriage was unconstitutional Ellen announced on her daily show about her intention to get married.

Ellen wrote to fans on her website about the big day using fancy fonts saying that that would be the font she's going to be using now that she's married. She wrote "I had a big weekend" and "I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos… this one's taken." Clearly, just by reading what she has written, notice the exclamation point? Ellen is truly a happy, happy gal. Ellen writes about all the things she has been doing differently after the wedding. Obviously very happy when she wrote that the wedding was everything she and Portia hoped it would be. Wishing that she could've invited everyone and goes on to say that she would be sharing videos as well as pictures of the special day when Season 6 of her popular talk show begins. Saying that she, herself, is excited to see them as everything seemed like a blur to her.

It might have been a blur to her but clearly, the feeling wasn't the same. Obviously still blissful from the wedding ceremony, Ellen signs the letter to her fans with "Blissfully yours, the just married Mrs. DeGeneres with the "Mrs." Underscored. Ellen and Portia are obviously 2 people happy together and it shows. Even before getting married, they have always appeared as blissful with each other's company. This wedding really is just the icing on the cake.
